And another Robot

Something that's noticeable here is that in the still artwork I would like to include the arrows that show the direction of the joints (for later 3D). This would make the idea of concept art part of the final show.

Next Character for 3D

Just following the trend of the character design I have looked at, Ie the retro style of the Dalek, I want to have these robotic characters compliment and flow in terms of aesthetic genre.

Character Designs for Ident and Final show...

moving onto more current work at the moment, I am currently working on my Ident as well as artwork for the final show. After the work I have done for the Dalek 3D I am now working through Modeling in 3D some simple characters. I will post the character artwork over the next few posts...

Odd Surgeon recolour

With the painted artwork for the surgeon himself (main character of this animation) I have limited the colour depth to black and white, seems to work nicely, getting a rough texture to the look of the character.

I would like this animation (which was supposed to be creepy in nature) to take on a harsher aesthetic for my final showreel.

Looking back at older Projects..

Heres just a revamp of artwork from my MTV project, rather than the ink and watercolour biohazard sign...which admittedly did not suit the animation, I have customized this in Illustrator.

I am working on re doing some of the artwork- in this case for the MTV brief, choosing to develop the backgrounds with some 3d constructs.

I will also shorten the animation and most likely amend the reveal of the MTV logo.

Portfolio Dalek 3D piece

Well this shot made it into my portfolio for the ime being, just need to sort out the lighting to get the best of the Global Illumination and Ambient Occlusion. Shame I didn't get the shadow in this shot. Overall I am happy with the look of the composit.

A more Successful Shade...

Just a preview render, but A more succesful mix of Textures and Shaders which means I should try some animating soon.
