And a nice colour test...

Now just for a colour test, Using the shader rather than a new material in C4D I have been able to basically test the colours, although a little shiny in places I am happy with the appearance.

Just the Next phase of Dalek (Modeling almost done!)

All the basic details are now there, Still needs some colouring and texturing, the global illumination enhances the model more than I expected and I will look forward to posting a finished example soon.

Ident research

Now just a few examples of Idents that are very much in the public domain, I have looked into my own interests here but I have tried to show different methods...

The things about these Idents that interest me, firstly, the two comic company Idents - Marvel and DC both use still artwork within the motion of the Ident. I would like to accomplish this in my own Ident but with possible slow motion clips of animations harkening back to my first year animations.
In the case of the more simple animations I like the constant play of light showing from between shapes giving a more grandiose appearance.

Global illumination

The Dalek here has been rendered with Global illumination and shows what the 3D model should look like if I want it to interact with a live action environment.

Dalek Test 2

And here's the better version a bit more detail and now for some global illumination...

Dalek Test 1

This test for the dalek just allowed me to experiment with the methods I can use in putting the 3D model together the next test will be a more intricate look at the concept. I admit to taking the concepts I liked from a number of the generations of daleks I could view.

3D who?

After spending some time 3D modeling in year one of the course, I have been asked to join the effort in a friend getting a fan made Dr. Who series up on Youtube. He has had a lot of success and Youtube have contacted him with regards to making more. Therefore when he has asked me to create 3D special effects I admit I accepted before knowing what I could do. Here are a few examples Dalek Test one being a less detailed full 3D model the second test being far more detailed.
